Oaky Doak, God I’m Listening — Daily devotions from a rescue farm built on Faith
A daily devotional written as our farm evolved from a hobby farm into a nonprofit rescue. 100% of book sales will go to support rescue efforts.
“When I am here, there is a peace that I have a hard time describing. This is my refuge.”
A year ago, Liz Howgate came to ODF for the first time after requesting a farm tour for her and her neighbor. She loved what we were doing and enthusiastically wanted to know if she could volunteer every day of the week…
Ben and Ginny McCloud have been partnering with ODF for the past three years through a monthly donation. When I asked them why, they humbly said…
To feed the ODF Herd requires 4 bales every 2-weeks. Each bale weighs about 900 pounds and lasts on average 3 1/2 days. We hand pull twice a day to minimize waste from the horses pulling it out and stepping on it as well as not losing hay to being rained on and getting moldy.
Bales cost $70 if purchased in advance.
90 bales needed for a year.
We would like to continue purchasing in advance as it saves costs. We have enough hay purchased and being stored by the farmer to carry us through April.
Would you consider sponsoring a bale of hay for the ODF Herd?
What a blessing it is having your support as we continue to grow helping horses in need.
