A year ago, Liz Howgate came to ODF for the first time after requesting a farm tour for her and her neighbor. She loved what we were doing and enthusiastically wanted to know if she could volunteer every day of the week. I laughed and said, “how about let’s schedule an ODF Farm Experience and go from there. Who knows? You may not want to volunteer after you find out all that is involved.”
A year later and this amazing lady comes committedly three times a week giving tirelessly to help us care for the ODF Herd. Liz didn’t have horse experience, she simply wanted to be a part of this God-sized mission. It has been a blessing watching her learn and grow gaining experience by jumping in without hesitation doing whatever has been needed. Before I can ask, she is already doing it!
